JKI continually attracts top-level national and
international athletes. Put your skills to the test in the Taekwondo
ring. See you at the Pyramid!
THE JIMMY KIM INVITATIONAL
The first JKI was held in 1990 to
commemorate Jimmy Kim's Olympic victory in the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games.
Many young athletes who have participated in
this championship have successfully transitioned into members of the US National
Team. The reputation of the JKI has attracted athletes from all over
the country and even from far away as Mexico, Canada and Tahiti. JKI
has also had the honor to host U.S. Olympic athletes as well as Olympians from other countries.
The competition quality at JKI attracts a high rate of
participation from black belt athletes from across the country.
Black belt competitors comprised more than 30% of total competitors in
2007.
Put your skills to the test at JKI!
